US Jobless Claims Higher Than Expected in 247K

The number of Americans filing for unemployment benefits rose to 247,000 in the week ending June 1, 2025.

The figure was higher than the 236K estimate and from the previous weekly revised figure of 239K, the Labor Department said on Thursday (6/5).
